Senior PeopleSoft Analyst

Under the general direction of Information Services Leadership, the Senior PeopleSoft Analyst is responsible for workflow development, system configuration and development, innovative application development, deployment and support, change documentation, and training of staff on application functionality. The individual will anticipate business needs and think with a business owner mind-set based on a strong fundamental knowledge of the system and the organizational infrastructure to recommend solutions that enable the enterprise to achieve its goals. The Senior PeopleSoft Analyst is responsible for planning and leading medium to large scale projects related to Information Systems and Applications within UW Health and for combining their business knowledge with data and information retrieval skills to actively contribute to UW Health's strategic initiatives. This position will take responsibility for enterprise wide planning and coordination of large scale initiatives. This position will provide mentoring for associate and PeopleSoft analysts joining the team, which includes but is not limited to training, task oversight, and quality and integrity assurance of build or development work. These responsibilities require the individual to stay current with the systems and/or applications as well as coordinating across multiple and varied teams to deliver solutions for the enterprise.
This position requires advanced software development and enterprise system administration abilities. Software development is primarily focused on PeopleSoft applications, but may also include ancillary programming and scripting. Enterprise system administration includes architecting, building, deploying, monitoring and supporting multi-server domains and environments for PeopleSoft applications.
The individual will support and collaborate with medical faculty, clinical staff and administrative support staff in patient care, day to day operations, revenue cycle as well as teaching and research activities. The individual will also collaborate with a wide variety of internal (the Hospital and Clinics, Medical Foundation, Medical School, Unity and other affiliate relationships that are established) and external contacts (including software vendors and industry peers).
Developing and maintaining excellent rapport with these contacts through written and verbal communication and collaboration is essential to accomplishing the objectives of this position and the goals of the UW Health enterprise.
The analyst may be required to participate in a 24 x 7 on-call support rotation to meet the critical clinical and business needs of the organization.
Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday, hours from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with on-call rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Bachelor's Degree

Working knowledge of the following technologies: VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Windows Batch Scripting, SSL, LDAP, Active Directory, Web Services
Experience performing all aspects of PeopleSoft Enterprise System Administration, including configuring, deploying, monitoring, and supporting multi-server domains and environments.
Expert knowledge of the following PeopleSoft technologies: Application Designer, Data Mover, Crystal Reports, BI Publisher, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface, Component Processor, PeopleSoft Query, Application Package, Integration Broker, Portal, Security Permission Lists and Roles, Row Level Security.
Expert knowledge of the following PeopleSoft Enterprise System Administration technologies: Application Server, Process Scheduler Server, WebLogic, PeopleTools, Tuxedo, Jolt, Oracle Client.
Experience administering Oracle databases.
Advanced knowledge of system administration in a client/server environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform the PeopleSoft application development steps.
Expert ability to independently troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of complex technical issues.
Physical Requirements - Light: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
