Scheduling Operations Analyst - Integrated Access

Under the general direction of the Program Manager for Ambulatory Access, the Scheduling Operations Analyst will work with clinics to develop and monitor provider templates and scheduling algorithms for all departments supported by the Appointment Center, as well as provide best practice recommendation for departments not yet in the Appointment Center, in accordance with industry and organizational best practices. This position will design and modify scheduling protocols entered into the system and create scheduling solutions for departments in alignment with organizational goals of standardization for ease of patient access. This position will build and monitor provider schedules to ensure the organization maximizes template efficiency, productivity, access opportunities and meets operational needs. This group will also with closely with the Information Systems Department to implement advanced scheduling build needed to support templates. This position will act as a scheduling liaison between clinics, operations, and HealthLink teams.
Work Schedule:
This position is 100% FTE, scheduled 40 hours per week.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to learn computer and application skills as applicable to role specifically the Cadence application within Epic quickly
Understanding of the basic concepts of advanced access and scheduling

Ability to listen empathetically and practice active listening
Ability to logically organize details
Ability to be work autonomously as well as work within a cohesive team

Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail and high accuracy in prior roles
Comfortable accepting responsibility for medium to large scale projects involving multiple resources and spanning many months from start to finish
Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities
Knowledge of and ability to utilize best practices, tools, and techniques for communicating with a customer
Understand effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge and understanding of health information concepts and terminology to include anatomy, physiology, medical disciplines, and diagnoses/procedures/treatments, health information legal/data standards, statistics, data/quality management and computer science application.

Sedentary:
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
