Our client is a leader in the aerospace industry. They develop key subsystems and they need to add a Systems Integration Engineer to their staff. You will be part of the systems engineering team for the development and implementation of aerospace flight hardware. The key to this job is the ability to oversee the integration of various part and subsystems into a strong functional system. The position is located in Madison, consistently one of the top cities in the country for quality of life.

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or other relevant engineering discipline required.
Knowledge of US Government space vehicle requirements, MIL-STD-1540 or SMC-S-016 acceptance and qualification test requirements,
High pressure fluid systems, along with hands-on technical project experience desired.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills required
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Understanding project management software such as IBM Doors
Duties:
Typical activities include, tracking of system level resources (e.g., power, mass, volume and crew time), preparation of specification and interface control drawings, coordinating activities with customers, overseeing the configuration management process, creating plans, budgets and schedules to organize and delegate work. You will see a project through its life cycle, typically 2 to 3 years. On a daily basis you will be involved with:
Support verification and validation of life support hardware
Work closely with engineering team to provide quality components in a timely manner
Generate and maintain component specifications
Generate and/or review component end-item-data packages
Supporting program and regularly scheduled reviews
Participation as a team member, work effectively in a team environment
