Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a full-service metal fabrication job shop and they have their own proprietary products as well. They are looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer who is team player and bring a depth of metal fabrication knowledge with them to the job. This is a growing, stable and well-run organization. Requirements:
1. Associates degree in a technical discipline
2. 5
years of strong metal fabrication experience, preferably in a job shop environment. Processes employed by our client include: CNC punching, press brake and panel bending, laser cutting and welding (robotic, MIG and TIG)
3. 3D design work, they use SolidWorks, for proprietary product line and detailed drawings for production use
4. Experience with Continuous Improvement methodology.
5. Familiarity with ERP / RP
6. Helpful would be knowledge of programming lasers and CNC punches
Duties:
1. Utilizing metal fabrication skills and knowledge, work with a team to fulfill customer orders
2. Recommend tooling, equipment and methods for optimal manufacturing processes
3. Design fixtures that will assure quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process
4. Participate in design reviews and product prototyping
5. Troubleshoot manufacturing problems
6. Participate in project costing and cost reduction initiatives
7. Lead and contribute to continuous manufacturing activities
8. Prepare BOMs, routings and SOPs
9. Program lasers and CNC Punches
