Background: Seeking a full time Data Scientist Lead for a large Insurance Company headquartered in Wisconsin. This position is responsible for mining, analyzing, modeling structured/unstructured datasets applying both advanced statistical predictive models and leading machine learning algorithms to solve business questions using but not limited to the following tools: SQL, R, Python, Apache Mahout, Oxdata H20, Hadoop, MapReduce, NLP, etc. Additionally, this position will assess internal analytic needs, craft methodologies to address these needs, and be absolutely hands-on with advanced statistical models and the application of various machine learning techniques.
Experience Required:
At the minimum must have a graduate level degree in a quantitative discipline (i.e. Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
Must have 2
years of experience in applying advanced statistical models and machine learning techniques to solve business challenges using the following tools but not limited to: SQL, R, Python, Apache Mahout, Oxdata H20, Hadoop, MapReduce, NLP, etc.
Must have 2
years of advanced analytics experience w/ extensive hands-on experience working on analytical studies from: stakeholder interaction, crafting methodology, to mining/analyzing/modeling datasets applying advanced statistical models and leading machine learning algorithms to solve business questions using but not limited to the following tools: SQL, R, Python, Apache Mahout, Oxdata H20, Hadoop, MapReduce, NLP, etc.
Skilled at translating analysis findings to a non-analytical audience
Full time role, Will transfer existing H1B visas, and will provide relocation assistance to Wisconsin
Salary: $100K - $170K; w/ Bonus
