Alliant Energy is currently recruiting for a CADD Technician III to work in Madison, WI. In this challenging role you will perform routine drafting work.
Assists the CADD Technician I and II (electrical and civil) in the production and design in related engineering services projects and duties.
Draws all types of maps, sketches, and diagrams relating to utility operations and electric, gas, and water systems; prepare maps of communities, property surveys, and flowage; draw plan and profile maps; check area maps against field data and revises maps as changes occur; make base maps from aerial photographs; make pole tags as required, etc.
Assists when required with field work associated with transmission and substation design work.
Prepares various charts, graphs, tables, compiles statistical data, etc., as directed.
Performs all work according to established Company procedures.
Performs other duties, which are similar, related, or incidental to this position.

Graduation from a two-year approved technical institute or satisfactory completion of at least 60 semester credits from an approved technical institute or college. The course work must be in either electrical, mechanical, civil, land surveying or architectural technologies.
Demonstrated ability to use computer aided drafting devices.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse work group.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
