Maintenance Supervisor- 2nd Shift
Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all daily Maintenance functions in support of the Production Department.
Duties (including but not limited to): Organize the production maintenance team's work Conduct interviews as necessary Lead a team and Manage Technicians Increase performance on the production floor & reduce labor costs Provide reports to his/her management & line management Record maintenance data Monitors Work orders, PM's, & Expenses for the budget Propose technical & organizational improvements to his/her line management Develop departmental performance & finalize new specifications Apply and implement safety rules & ensure the safety of people Participate in analyzing occupational hazards Follow quality programs to ensure the quality & specifications of product are continually met Alert his/her supervisor and/or manager when there is deviation from quality policies & standards Prevent contamination of products and equipmentJob Requirements (including but not limited to): Trade school level of Electrical or Mechanical training or equivalent experience required Experience with electrical repair on production & utility equipment required Experience with mechanical repair on production & utility equipment required 3
years of previous employment in a food manufacturing setting is required, dairy preferred Ability to work assigned shift as well as some on call and off shifts as needed Knowledge of: Agri-food industry technology and processes, sound maintenance practice, quality, food safety, and health and safety Behavioral/Physical Skills: The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible and receptive to new ideas, down to earth and pragmatic, analytical and attentive to detail. Her or she will also be capable of working independently in adherence to regulations, of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure, and be able to demonstrate an inquiring mind and well-developed observational skills. The assistance maintenance manager will demonstrate a sense of responsibility and high professional standards, honesty and integrity, objectivity and an ability to see the overview.
