IMMEDIATE NEED!!!!.Client is looking for a Project Controls Specialist/Scheduler with 7-15 years of experience. Our client prefers candidates who have experience supporting power plant EPC projects, but will consider similar heavy industrial plant EPC experience. This is a long term contract opportunity near Madison, WI. Per diem available.
Responsibilities for the Scheduler
Review the Contractor's schedule and progress on a weekly basis in order to validate what they are saying
Work closely with the EPC client and project team to maintain & manage the project schedule using Primavera P6
Write reports to upper management on the status of the project schedule
Provide coordination & maintenance of program-specific project controls efforts -- planning/scheduling, electronic document management, contracts administration, earned value management, cost analysis & reporting
Assist with the review & negotiation of change orders, monitoring & reporting of schedule deviations, monitoring of contractual terms and deliverables
Responsible for the preparation & over-sight of owner project schedules
Perform field audits of progress and prepare change order information and claims support documentation
Requirements for the Scheduler
7-15 years of experience as a Project Scheduler supporting Power Plant EPC projects
The client prefers candidates that have experience working for an EPC company
Experience with Primavera P6 or higher is required (expereince with version 8.3 is a HUGE PLUS)
You need several years of experience on a construction site involved in project controls and project scheduling
Experience with Earned Value Analysis (EVA) & Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling is needed
A BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or Construction Management would be a PLUS
Any specific experience supporting large Scrubber/Baghouse Air Quality construction projects would be a PLUS
