Support Services Manager (Hybrid)

Compensation Minimum:
$90,200 / year Compensation Maximum:
$144,500 / year Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.
Primary Accountabilities Establishes, communicates, and implements departmental plans, objectives, and strategies.
Participates as a member of the Leadership Team.
Maintains an active awareness of American Family's business environments, corporate culture, and structure to support key decision-making.
Manages direct reports, systems, and projects to achieve department/unit goals in accordance with Company policies and practices.
Prepares and analyzes department/unit plans and reports and is accountable to ensure follow up action is communicated and implemented as needed.
Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area.
Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance, and maintaining open communications.
Develops staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments, and establishing performance & development plans.
Collaborates with the field force to ensure desired performance levels are met to help drive business results.
Establish and utilizes lean tools and methodologies to create operational efficiencies, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
Provides oversight and direction for the communications and interactions with sales management, the field force, and Underwriting regarding policy services, underwriting intent, procedures and changes that will impact the field.
Maintains positive relationships with sales management to resolve problems and improve results, underwriting performance, and customer service.
Collaborates with internal business partners to establish the vision to implement technologies and processes that have a positive impact on support services and customer service.
Oversees policy administration functions as well as agency inquiries via phone, chat and email to achieve desired service level agreements.
Travel RequirementsThis position requires travel up to 15% of the time.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
Solid Property and Casualty Insurance underwriting and/or services background.
Solid knowledge and understanding of disciplines and their execution within the insurance industry and their relationships with underwriting and services.
Demonstrated management or leadership experience in area(s) of accountability.
Basic knowledge and understanding of Lean methodologies.
This position is a hybrid role that involves working a minimum of 10 days per month in the office.
