The Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Personnel Management currently has an opening for a part-time (60% - approximately 24 hours per week) Human Resources Assistant to work as part of the HR Shared Services, Region 3 Team that primarily supports hiring activities for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
This position is headquartered at the State Natural Resource Building in Madison, which is conveniently located near the restaurant and shops of downtown Madison.
However, this hybrid remote position typically only requires the ability to come into the office one day per pay period, after an initial training period.

Position Summary This part-time (60%) Human Resources Assistant position is responsible for performing a variety of paraprofessional administrative Human Resources support work in the Division of Personnel Management, HR Shared Services Region 3, primarily supporting the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
The position provides primary support to professional Human Resources Staff in the areas of recruitment, staffing, compensation, and classification.
The position is responsible for supporting LTE hiring; dissemination of information related to personnel policies and procedures; coordination of personnel data and report development; and provides support to Bureau management on special projects and confidential information.

Salary Information This position is in schedule-range 81-05 with a starting pay of $20-$25 per hour, based on qualifications.
This position is not represented by a collective bargaining unit.
A 12-month probationary period may be required.
Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.
Job Details The DNR does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment.
All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9 upon hire.
Occasional travel is required for meetings, job shadows, trainings, etc.

Experience using Microsoft Office software (e.

) or similar Experience providing administrative support in a professional setting (e.

) Experience providing customer service to internal and/or external stakeholders (e.

answering questions, providing guidance, working through issues, etc.
) In addition, highly qualified candidates will have one or more of the following:
