Medical Lab Scientist - Minneapolis/St. Paul - Relocation Available
Relocation services are available upon request! Position Summary Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, test result reporting and specimen collection.
The MLS provides service in one or more sections of the laboratory with a high level of accuracy, precision and timeliness and ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards.
Service is provided to patients of all age groups.
Non-technical duties include taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining work area, equipment and instrumentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry or Biology or related fields.
Certified as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) board of registry or equivalent professional organization per CLIA standards.
Certification must be completed by the first year of employment and kept current according to ASCP standards.
NCA, ASCP or equivalent Baccalaureate degree or equivalent required (CLIA '88 regulations) Recommended Skills Biology Clinical Laboratory Science Clinical Works Health Technology Instrumentation Medical Technologist Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
