This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining systems which will optimize the functionality and reporting capabilities of development software.
The Development Operations Manager provides solutions to increase efficiency, consistency, and develops best practices to support donor relations and data-informed fundraising strategies.
Roles & Responsibilities Embraces and participates in the advancement of the JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) mission and vision of the organization.
Collaborates with the development team to lead and execute annual fund and stewardship strategies to support the short- and long-term growth of fundraising operations.
Leads assigned fundraising event coordination and oversight of all department events.
Attends internal and occasional external events to support donor stewardship and cultivation efforts.
Manages the portfolio of Overture Center's donors and prospects.
Oversees donor relations and stewardship as outlined per company policy, including but not limited to overseeing gift entry, acknowledgement, recognition, and ticketing concierge services.
Responsible for the creation of the annual development budget including forecasting annual related revenue and expenses.
Work collaboratively with Finance to ensure Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are followed.
Create and maintain Gift Acceptance and Acknowledgement procedures to support Overture Center's institutional policies.
Serves as the data subject matter expert for the development team and trains others on best practices.
Creates dashboards and reports for staff and development committee to track fundraising progress, trends, areas of concern and opportunities.
Monitors fundraising activity return on investment (ROI) and progress of development plan.
Generate data lists and manage prospect portfolios.
Ensures gifts are properly recorded and donor records are accurate via auditing, training, analysis, or related activities.
Manage day-to-day expenses and monitor the spending budget for development activities.
Responsible for the employee life cycle of the Donor Relations Assistant including hiring, performance management, training, and coaching.
Performs project management duties for development marketing efforts (print, video, digital).
Serves as liaison to the marketing team and execute marketing-related donor benefits and recognition.
Actively participate in Equity & Innovation learning and professional development and bring JEDI awareness/learning into practice.
Participate in professional development by participating in professional associations, seminars, training, and self-directed research/study.

QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's or associate degree in business administration, development, marketing/communications, or equivalent in education and/or related experience.

years of related professional, progressive experience in fundraising/development or annual membership.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proven interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues, board members, volunteers, community leaders and donors.
Proven experience in working with budgets, fund balances and ability to interpret and analyze information contained in databases, including experience extracting records by specific, multiple profiles.
Working knowledge of databases and proven aptitude with Excel.
Preference will be given to those who are familiar with fundraising software such as Tessitura and Raisers Edge.
Ability to deal routinely with confidential and sensitive information.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Possess high level of initiative, creativity, and energy.
Customer service-oriented with confidence in communicating with diverse constituencies.
Working knowledge of supervisory techniques, coaching for performance.
Ability to schedule work and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Working ConditionsThe requirements and conditions described below are representative of the general environment the employee is exposed to on a day-to-day basis while performing this job.
Primarily perform work in an office environment Frequently move around the building and access or use computers, office equipment, telephone, and any other pertinent supplies, space, or equipment used to perform the duties of the position.
Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Required to work on a computer 5-8 hours per day.
Ability to work nights and weekends 10-20% of the time, including potentially long hours during critical periods such as special events.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
