General Manager - Madison, WI

Job Responsibilities Planning oAnalyze the monthly P&L and assist in problem identification, analyzing variances, and provide written/oral resolution.
oDetermine, recommend, and implement process improvements.
oAnalyze shopper reports, social media reviews, and guest complaints or complaints to correct concerns as well as commend the actions of the employees or team.
oPrepare work schedules while adhering to payroll budgets and constraints and post.

Communication oCommunicate with Regional Manager weekly.
oManage multiple departments efficiently and conduct weekly meetings with the AGM and lead teams to institute objectives and goals, to review performance, and to offer direction.
oConduct and oversee pre-shift meetings with staff.
oRespond to tasks within the designated time period.
oProvide feedback and supervision to team members; including constructive guidance to improve poor performance and praise to provide on-going motivation for strong performance.
oContribute during mandatory district/regional meetings and company-wide meetings.
oMaintain confidentiality of company financials, sales, and strategic information.
Human Resources oRecruit, interview, and hire team members in keeping with company guidelines and applicable laws; work with HR to remain abreast of the legal implications of this process.
oLead staff orientations.
oPrepare schedule and learning paths for new hire training and assign mentors.
oProperly maintain staffing levels.
oProvide completed employee documentation to the HR Dept promptly.
oEnsure all required certifications are current.
oComplete staff assessments and develop opportunities for professional and personal growth.
oCoach, counsel, and discipline employees according to the guidelines set by HR.
oHandle employee inquiries and grievances, adhering to the proper resolution procedures.
oMaintain confidentially of Human Resource related items related to the company and employee's information.
Sales & Marketing oEstablish and deliver on a solid written business plan by understanding and creating market demand with goals and expectations.
oAssist with sales initiatives and meeting goal expectations.
oActivate and execute promotions and posts on social media.
oActivate, execute, and participate in outside promotional work to various groups and businesses within the community to promote the facility.
oParticipate in league formation efforts.
oEnsure current marketing materials are displayed.
Facility oComply with health and legal regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, as well as maintaining security systems and overall building maintenance.
oPerform daily routine indoor and outdoor inspections of the property.
oConsult with the assigned support team member before the third-party vendor is called before any physical work is conducted on/at the venue.
For locations with Amusements:
oInspect all games, attractions, and related amusement equipment to ensure they are in working order and there is a working plan for all mechanical or safety issues.
oCertify that all gaming and attraction areas are well-stocked, clean, and in working order.
oEstablish a review of the critical control documents related to card encoding and inventory management.
General Management oCultivate a team environment and promote our mission to Create Memorable Experiences - Every Guest, Every Visit with team members throughout the facility.
oLead and influence the team by setting a professional example in attitude, business-like appearance, work habits, and quality communication.
oAccomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, motivating, and appraising job results.
oReinforce policies, standard operating procedures, and guest-service standards.
oProvide functional supervision to team members, delegate work, and monitor progress.
oBecome knowledgeable of all center positions and procedures; call in additional staff or fill in when others are absent.
oPerform duties and practice safeguards related to cash on hand including, but not limited to, bank deposits, ATM, vending monies, inventories, the checkbook, money handling.
oPrepare and review the center's daily and weekly reports, paperwork, and payroll.
oPerform opening and closing duties.
oConduct a pre-shift walk through of departments - confirm arrival of scheduled team members, compliance with dress code, etc.

oAchieve and maintain overall guest service goals; ensure that any complaints are resolved.
oMonitor guests for potentially disruptive behavior; use discretion and judgment to de-escalate problems and resolve concerns.
oEnsure that the ordering procedures and inventory for each department are maintained and accurate inventory counts are provided.
oAct as one of the two primary participants in the monthly inventory processes.
oManage vendor relationships.
oConduct line checks and kitchen inspections to ensure food safety and cleanliness practices are followed.
oInstitute a culture of responsible alcohol service.
oImmediately report all emergencies as well as any instances when health inspectors or emergency services are present to the designated supervisor.
oAvailable to work high volume varying shifts, from weekends to holidays, in addition to extended workdays as the schedule demands.

Job Qualifications o7
years of experience managing a large staff in a high-volume facility.
oA background in the entertainment, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred.
oBachelor's Degree preferred.
oServSafe certification is required.
oIntermediate Microsoft Office operator with strong organizational skills.
oAble to represent the company to a wide range of individuals both inside and outside the center.
oAble to communicate effectively to a wide range of guests and staff.
oAble to make prudent decisions related to guests, team members, and the facility.
oHave good judgment and problem-solving skills to de-escalate problems.
oHas strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Work Environment oThe noise level can be loud and may contain lighting effects such as lasers and strobes.
oThis job requires working with large crowds and children.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
oAble to stand and walk for extended periods of time and able to lift 50 pounds.
oThis position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
