The Latino Academy of Workforce Development became Wisconsin's newest Latino-led nonprofit organization in 2022 after first establishing itself in 2011 as a program within Madison's Vera Court Neighborhood Center.
Our driving purpose is economic development.
We have grown to be a regional leader in supporting underemployed Latinos and other underserved Wisconsinites through the process of career education and training, job placement and job retention.
Interest in our programs has grown annually; in 2022, we provided 2,249 community members with instruction and services.

Position Overview:
The Latino Academy of Workforce Development is looking for a self-motivated, organized and trust-worthy person for the Business Manager position.
This person should have administrative and bookkeeping experience, be good at problem-solving and have a mind for numbers.
The Business Manager should also have good interpersonal skills and be able to run the back-office operations.
The starting salary is $21-23/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

$21-$23/hour Full Job Description/Duties:
Work with QTI/Tandem to process bi-weekly payroll; track all staff benefits; budget for and pay appropriate taxes and other payments.
Work with Numbers 4 NonProfits for any accounting related duties.
Maintain Latino Academy's finances:
collect/pay all bills, reimbursements, tax documents, etc.
Be the primary point of contact for the annual audit.
Enter and update donor information in Latino Academy's database system and QuickBooks, and assist with the administrative side of fundraising and events.
Create and maintain budgets and weekly financial reports.
Work with other staff to create grant reports.
Maintain personnel records and work with Executive Director for the annual staff evaluation process.
Perform occasional administrative duties:

order necessary supplies, contact appropriate companies for maintenance when needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bookkeeping experience Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, including their payroll program Prior office or business manager experience Experience working with budgets, preferably in nonprofit environment Good interpersonal skills Excellent writing and communication skills Prior experience working in a Human Resources role preferred Software Knowledge (familiarity is appreciated, ability to learn new software is essential):
