We are looking for someone with the experience and drive to lead our Healthcare market sector and who also has the ability to work across several other project types including industrial/manufacturing, sports & recreation, and commercial projects.
The position will involve leading a multi-person design team through all phases (pre-design, design & construction documents, approval, construction administration, and close-out).
Candidates should be a registered architect with a minimum of 8 years experience, excel at client and consultant relations, be able to lead and mentor a team to produce a fully coordinated set of drawings in Revit, and hold an experienced understanding of ICC building codes and NFPA life safety codes.
Additionally, candidates should have an extensive working knowledge of the detailed layout and space requirements for a variety of medical and diagnostic imaging equipment utilized in the healthcare sector.
You will work closely with architectural job captains, designers, and production staff to ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the final product exceeds our client s expectations.
You will be supported by Project Managers (PMs) who will assist with all aspects of the project.
Clear communication to stakeholders throughout each stage of a project will result in the successful delivery of a project and proficiency in a wide range of software will ensure the timeliness, efficiency, and professionalism our clients expect.
On any given day, you ll:
Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing clients and assist in procuring work.
Manage multiple clients, multiple projects, and multiple project teams.
Establish an environment that encourages experimentation, innovation, and design creativity.
Manage projects throughout the entire design process, from pre-design through construction administration.
Oversee the technical production of project work, assuring that the work is on schedule, profitable, and conforms with Ayres quality standards and client contracts.
Analyze building codes, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
Create and maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants, coworkers, and regulatory agencies.
Assist PMs with project billing, resource management, and project planning.
Provide leadership and mentorship of internal staff.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Science (with Major in Architecture), Bachelor of Architecture, or Master of Architecture, from NAAB accredited university.
8
years architectural project experience with at least 3 of those years developing clients and leading projects in the Healthcare market sector.
Registration as a Wisconsin registered architect in good standing, or NCARB certified Architect.
Proficiency in Revit, knowledge of ICC & NFPA Life Safety codes, experience in construction observation, consultant coordination, and regulatory agency coordination.
Standard technical knowledge needed for construction documentation in a variety of construction methods, material types, and project types.
A willingness to travel on an as needed basis.
Valid driver s license with a good driving record.

Experience and ability to produce presentation documents/images using rendering software.
