SANITATION ENGINEER

Our client is an internationally recognized player within the Consumer Products industry. They seek an exceptional Sanitation Engineer to oversee a fast paced manufacturing effort.

You will be responsible for maintaining, and executing plant sanitation. You will facilitate and lead the execution of the sanitation assurance programs. You will work with technical leads in the plant to drive core assurance programs and supports the sanitation manager by ensuring policy compliance. You will serve as primary back-up for Plant Sanitation Manager.
Partners with plant operations, maintenance, engineering and quality to ensure that sanitation programs, assurance policies and procedures are executed and monitored per policy requirements.
Track, report, and review the sanitation performance indicators.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective action and preventative action for sanitation assurance.
Coach/mentor and guide sanitation, food handlers and production personnel in sanitation procedures as well as in cleaning of equipment and work areas.
Inspect premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
Confer regarding sanitation problems and recommend changes to improve sanitation standards and purity of product.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree in Engineering/Chemistry/ Food Science or other,

years supervisory experience in quality/manufacturing/sanitation.
Understanding of food manufacturing processes/equipment.
Sanitation, Food Safety and Regulatory requirements, including HACCP principles
Understanding of food processing equipment functionality and maintenance
Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence management and plant workforce.
Lean experience a plus.
Ability to work off shift position (3rd shift).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
