We have an opening in our WI office for an Applications Scientist to work with the NIR sales team in North America by demonstrating instruments and software capabilities to our existing and prospect customers in order to generate sales. Training and supporting our customers in application related issues.
The primary responsibilities of the applications scientist would be:
Perform analyses of samples submitted by prospective customers.
Assist in technical sales support by preparing and conducting demonstrations to prospective customers.
Author technical documents that highlight new and innovative application results using Bruker's, NIR and Process systems.
Assist in the installation of new systems by providing on-site customer training and application specific system testing.
Develop new applications for the Bruker Optics product line to be used for posters and presentations at technical conferences and marketing seminars
Train new and existing customer and give the best possible customer support.
Ph.D. or MS in a science discipline with experience using NIR both Laboratory and Process. A good understanding of analytical instrumentation is also a requirement
Bruker will consider candidates who have just finished their Ph.D. as an entry level position. However, a candidate with 5 years'' hands on experience with NIR would be preferred.
Good computer skills essential including MS office. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Bruker Optics software products.
Excellent communications skills needed with a wide variety of knowledge levels with customers and in-house personnel.
Ability and willingness to travel as travel is required.
