Summary:

Provide consulting services to PSE clients for a wide range of engineering projects, including electrical utility transmission planning and studies; generation interconnection studies, modeling, and conceptual design; and utility-scale renewable energy resource-focused design and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • With the support of PSE colleagues, perform transmission studies, including planning studies, stability studies, generator interconnection studies, and material modification studies.
  • Provide and/or assist with generator interconnection support, including preliminary project design.
  • Perform transmission system modeling analysis utilizing engineering analysis software.
  • Assist with PSCAD modeling support for generator projects.
  • Assist on distribution studies as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day operations support to PSE clients.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, utility, or ISO/RTO environments is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of computer software, including PSS/E, MS Excel, and MS Word, is required.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable NERC, IEEE, NEC, and ANSI standards and electric codes is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of additional power engineering software programs, including PSCAD, PSLF, TSAT, and TARA, is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of electric utility systems and wiring and schematic diagrams is a plus.
  • Possess the ability to achieve quality results, be change-oriented, foster innovation, and be a continuous learner.
  • Use effective communication skills (both written and oral), be customer-driven, and display teamwork behavior.

Compensation details:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
