About the Role:
As a Production Baker at our Offsite Production Kitchen, you will work collaboratively with your coworkers to create the fresh baked goods that are sold at our retail store locations.
You will have the opportunity to help turn top-notch, high quality ingredients into tasty, fresh, and attractive bakery items.

What You'll Do:
You will work with others in the kitchen to ensure that the department is operating at its best and fully staffed.
Youll work together with your teammates to achieve the days production list, which may include any of the following:
Follow production schedules and meet production standards for fresh baked goods Plan food preparations to economize on tasks Package and label baked goods.
Be sure all items are properly labeled with the date and a list of ingredients.
Inform Kitchen Director of low stock on ingredients or of special ingredient needs so as to assist in minimizing out of stocks Maintain accurate records as required, including completing temperature/time logs for HACCP requirements as needed Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace according to the HACCP plan, frequently cleaning all equipment including coolers, knives, cutting boards, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are safely stored and out of the way Participate in kitchen-cleaning and inventories as assigned Maintain personal cleanliness including clean clothes and aprons, and consistently clean hands Manage ovens and stove Inform Kitchen Director of equipment failures or problems with kitchen related systems Be ready and willing to help any other employee of the production kitchen complete a task or ready a product for delivery Participate in cleaning the bakery at the end of the workday according to the checklist Treat people fairly, consistently and with respect Abide by all co-op policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company documents Participate in required training and meetings Keep the kitchen orderly and clean Set a positive example for employees Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor What You Bring:
This role requires the following experience, skills and abilities:
Prior experience in baking or food production A positive attitude and collaborative spirit Outstanding customer service skills Willingness to be open, to learn and take on new responsibilities Regular, predictable attendance Effective communication skills in English Ability to read and comprehend instructions Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness Ability to work independently Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle multiple demands Adherence to deadlines Flexible schedule, available daytime, evening and weekend hours Nice-to-Haves:
