In this role, you will perform routine duties associated with wage/salary administration, job classification and evaluation, survey participation and management, job description development, data analysis/cost modeling, and other compensation and total rewards related projects and activities. May also have responsibility for executive compensation support.
This position may be filled at an Analyst I or II level depending on candidate experience.
Maintains the job description and physical and environmental inventory files. Ensures full job descriptions exist for all non-bargaining positions. Works with other departments to make descriptions available to employees and human resource staff. Communicates the process to those using job descriptions.
Performs tasks related to updates, edits, and deletions on the HR ERP system, including the Job Code Table. Works closely with the human resources service center and payroll departments to maintain the integrity of data in ERP.
Performs routine duties related to survey participation, including researching cost, submitting surveys, and receiving data. Communicates with vendors.
Audits compensation data, produces compensation reports and provides analysis of results and programs. Conducts research and analysis to provide trend analysis. Prepares materials for presentations.
May assist with the development, record keeping, implementation, and day to day activities of executive compensation programs. Makes recommendations to improve processes.
Assists in the organization and long-term storage of compensation files in the central data systems. Maintains the compensation website and keeps associated documents current.
May assist in rate case research and responses.
All other duties as assigned.
Education or experience equivalent to a four year degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis in human resources, business administration, or related area preferred.
Compensation Analyst I: A minimum of one to three years technical and/or professional experience in Human Resources.
Compensation Analyst II: A minimum of three to five years technical and/or professional experience in Human Resources with a minimum of one year of compensation experience.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management) preferred. Above average skills in spreadsheet and database applications preferred.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills, good accounting skills, ability to successfully perform independent in-depth analysis and interpret data.
Ability to work in a diverse work environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
