Directs the development and execution of corporate and product-specific multi-channel marketing strategies that tie back to business goals for both business to business and business to customer markets within company service areas. These marketing channels include digital, web, mobile, social, and direct marketing strategies.
Partners with senior management to establish corporate marketing objectives and strategies that ensure consistent brand expression through all brand touch points, both external and internal.
Oversees the preparation, review and approval of all external communications, press releases and media relations. Assists in developing key company messages to help support overall business strategy and direction.
Ensures web and social media approaches tie into overall media strategy. Forges important communications and media relationships, and brokers those relationships with other executives in the company.
Leads all financial communications efforts in support of the Chief Financial Officer, to include quarterly earnings, analyst meetings, and shareholder communications.
Oversees and directs employee communications. Partners with senior management to provide messaging, communications counsel, recommendations, and support for communications to employee audiences and other key stakeholders. Aligns internal messaging with key business drivers and priorities to inform, engage and motivate employees to drive business results.
Collaborates with business units to provide communications for issues, strategies and areas of employee interest/concern. Manages internal communications channels, including intranet and broad audience emails.
Performs all management duties, including budgeting, hiring, performance reviews, coordinating and scheduling work, salary recommendations, discipline, ensuring employees report to work fit for duty, leadership, grievance resolution, coaching & counseling, and models Alliant Energy's Mission, Values and Strategy at all times.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education and/or experience equivalent to a four year degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis in marketing and/or communications or related area preferred; advanced degree preferred.
A minimum of ten years progressively responsible experience in marketing and/or communications, or related area.
A minimum of six years progressively more responsible supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability and experience in corporate marketing and communications.
Profit and loss experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop short- and long-term strategic plans and translate those plans into action.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Demonstrated financial management skills such as budgeting.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
